Our Commitment

Supporting those who served Australia.

Australia's veterans have given so much in service of this country, and we are grateful for it. We show that gratitude through home care that respects your independence and honours your service, offered with patience, kindness and genuine warmth, in the comfort of your own home.

We are currently completing our registration as a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) provider, so that one day soon we can deliver and claim approved services directly through DVA. This service is coming soon. Once our registration is complete, veterans with DVA support in Cranbourne and South-East Melbourne will be able to access our in-home care, with funding arranged through their DVA entitlements. Until then, we are glad to talk things through and guide you, whenever you are ready.

DVA home care explained.

Wondering whether DVA home care could suit you or someone you love? Here are gentle, plain answers to the questions we hear most often, and we are always happy to talk things through.

Ask Us Anything
What is DVA home care?

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) funds in-home services for veterans and their dependants, under programs such as Veterans' Home Care (VHC) and Community Nursing. It can help cover everyday support so you can keep living comfortably at home.

Who can access DVA home care?

Veterans, war widows and widowers, and some dependants who hold a DVA Gold Card or White Card may be able to access support. Your suitability depends on your card type and assessed care needs, which DVA confirms.

What can DVA support cover?

Depending on your card and assessment, support may cover personal care, domestic assistance, respite and, where clinical care is needed, home nursing we can arrange through a registered nurse. A DVA-approved assessor works out what you can access.

When will Comfort Care at Home offer DVA home care?

Our DVA provider registration is in progress, so this service is coming soon. Once complete, we will deliver and claim approved services directly through DVA for veterans in Cranbourne and South-East Melbourne. Register your interest and we will be in touch.
